Genghis Grill creating stir in Little Rock

Genghis Grill has signed a franchise deal for three units in the Little Rock area. The agreement includes taking over ownership of the existing Little Rock store, as well as two other locations that will open over the next two years.

"We have extensive experience in business management, marketing and the restaurant industry, Genghis Grill presents us with tons of opportunity in the Little Rock market," Ricardo Alvarez, owner of Genghis Grill Little Rock, said in a company press release. "Being with Genghis is more than great tasting food; it's a chance to be a part of an experience and fun environment. The support we received from the Genghis team has been amazing. We are looking forward to completing the new remodel package and re-introducing our guest to the Genghis Grill of the future complete with a grand opening celebration."

Alvarez and his wife, Elsie, grew up working in several restaurants and were employees of Genghis Grill Little Rock in 2012. They spent several years on the business management side of the professional world, and are also multi-unit owners of another franchise brand.

"Ricardo and Elsie are great examples of the type of candidates we are looking for when we seek out our new franchise owners," CEO Gregg Majewski said in the release. "They are eager to continue growing the brand and aim to provide consumers in Little Rock area quality service and top-notch bowls, making them the perfect candidates to help us grow in this market."

Depending on the geography, the size and configuration of the store as well as several other determining factors, the investment to become a franchisee ranges from $346,600 to $973,500.

Founded in 1998, Genghis Grill has over 50 restaurants systemwide.
