Genghis Grill Introduces New Franchisee Incentive

March 28, 2022 // Franchising.com // DALLAS - Genghis Grill (Genghis), the nation’s leading create-your-own bowl concept with locations across the southern United States, has announced a new single and multi-unit franchisee incentive.

The offering is available for new qualified single and multi-unit franchisees looking to get in on the ground floor of a refreshed, reenergized concept. The incentive includes a reduced franchise fee of $5,000 per location, $0 in development fees (normally $75,000) and up-to $150,000 in royalties waived over the initial two years. This deal is available for entrepreneurs interested in signing a single unit or multi-unit deal with a maximum of five units. The first unit must be opened within 12 months of franchise agreement signing.

“Now is the time to become part of our ultimate, create-your-own bowl concept with this incredible new franchisee program,” said Gregg Majewski, Chief Executive Officer of Genghis Grill. “This is the perfect opportunity for restaurant operators looking for a DMA filler or to expand their restaurant portfolio. This significant concession offers even more opportunity for customization, freshness and fun in communities across the nation and will ignite entrepreneurs looking to expand with a leading concept.”

Launched 24 years ago in Dallas, Texas, Genghis offers fans broad appeal and caters to various flavor preferences and lifestyles by offering keto, gluten-free, low-carb, vegan and vegetarian options. In 2018, Genghis put a focus on brand reimaging, heightened customer service, improved food quality and even more operational excellence to continue to refine the customer experience. Recently, the brand has added new service options and new flavors with Chef-curated bowls for easy ordering, featuring flavors from a variety of genres, including traditional Asian-fusion, Tex-Mex Italian and more.

The brand now has over 50 locations open across the country, serving 3.2 million customers annually, of which 250,000 are Genghis Reward members.

Diversifying revenue streams has been a high priority for the brand over the last five years, investing in shadow kitchen concepts and recently launching an extensive catering program.

“Genghis Grill is an innovative casual dining model that is meeting the needs of today’s modernized consumer preferences,” said Rich Guckel, Director of Franchising. “The new incentive provides the perfect opportunity for restaurant franchisees and investors to add a concept with staying power to their franchise portfolio.”

Genghis Grill has identified key markets in its franchise expansion strategy across the South Atlantic, Midwest and Southwest as part of its development plan.

As it expands into new markets, Genghis is actively awarding locations to franchise partners who are sophisticated, well-capitalized operators and have multi-unit and development experience. Depending on geography, size of the store, configuration of the store and several other determining factors, the investment per store ranges from $346,600 to $973,500.
